Tesco: Self Scan

Our local Tesco has introduced self scanning for its customers. No surprise there, every supermarket is doing it now, so we decided that we would try it out and see how it compares to Waitrose and a Sainsbury's nearby. The first time we use the Tesco self scan we had to have our basket checked. Fair enough. First time, who knows what we're like! It was a little annoying that their section for self scan is quite a small area but never mind. The second time we self scan, guess what, we had to have our basket checked. And before you ask, no we didn't fail the check on the first attempt! Now I wouldn't normally take the trouble to post something so like this, but the combination of the small area and being checked twice in the first two attempts is more than a little frustrating. We are checked about once every couple of years at Waitrose, and have never been checked at Sainsbury’s.
