Starbucks: Motorway Monopoly

Starbucks seems to have monopolized motorway services in the UK. I am not suggesting that other coffee brands are completely absent, but Starbucks certainly seem to be the dominant brand on many routes. Starbucks has its own coffee houses in almost all service stations if you were to drive down to Cornwall from the UK Midlands for example. This should not normally be a problem, but becomes a problem for me because I do not like Starbucks coffee. I want to like Starbucks coffee, especially as it would give me so many more options when driving to Cornwall, but I don't. I know that I am not alone in how I feel about this. I haven't found many people who say that they prefer Starbucks over another brand. So I guess my question to Starbucks is why, when you know that you have coffee that is probably the most controversial for taste and bitterness, can you not improve it? And this is constructive criticism, not just a pointless rant. I may also be wrong about this because I haven't had a Starbucks coffee for a few years now. I am reluctant to do so as I have been disappointed on every occasion that I did. I feel that If Starbucks put more focus on their coffee and perhaps less on the odd concoctions that their customers request, then it would serve in everyone's interest (except perhaps the people that crave those odd concoctions). So, Starbucks, I get a perfect coffee from Costa and Nero, why not you?
