Ocado: Sorted!

Ocado have some quirks in their service, which apply to any online grocery. Substitutions is one, and of course missing things in the delivery. We had both such issues recently with our Ocado delivery and had to request a refund. It was dealt with promptly and efficiently. Thank you Ocado! I would however have appreciated a little more of an explanation as to why a number of items were missing. And perhaps an apology. If we had not spotted the missing items, and trawled through the order to check everything, and gone online to request the refund, it would have been a very expensive shop! It may be a tricky one for Ocado because some people will try and cheat the system. But there must be adequate tracking of orders and items being picked to know what was delivered. This is all automated by Ocado, which makes them what they are. And it seems like an entire tote was missing. So why was that not registered when the van returned to Hatfield with an extra tote? Unless someone else received it of course. Regardless of the cause, the customer should not be the one who has to police the delivery.
