Ocado: Perhaps not as good as a personal shop?

We have had many Ocado deliveries, and another today. I do, each time, compare the experience with a supermarket shop at Waitrose or Sainsbury’s. Today we received at least one product that was not good. If I were to have shopped at the supermarket, I would not have selected certain items. Not because they were the wrong shape or anything minor, but more to do with 'use by' dates. It may seem petty, but the iceberg lettuce that Ocado delivered today was certainly not what I would have selected at the supermarket. It was a higher price than we would have paid at Waitrose, and was not much bigger than a tennis ball in size. And the bread we received had tomorrow’s ‘use by’ date. Again, we would not have selected this item. This Is not good, and does remind me that supermarket shopping will return when restrictions end, because online shopping is flawed. However, the question to Ocado is, based on your automated warehouses, why do we still get these anomalies?
