Acorn Property Group: They could do so much better

This post is about Acorn Property Group, or Acorn Blue specifically as they brand some of their developments.
Acorn Property Group are builders, and from what I have seen they build some good developments.
But Acorn Blue also let people down.
We moved in to a new (technically speaking) Acorn Blue property in Cornwall in early 2022. The property is actually a renovated building, about 200 years old.
We liked the property very much when we viewed it and were impressed by what Acorn Property Group had done both inside and out. Attention to some of the detail was very good, as was the finish.
There were at that time still many things that were unfinished. The entire front of the plot for example, where there was meant to be parking for about 8 cars, was a building site. Devlopment hadn't even started in that section. And the perimeter of our property was unfinished. In fact it was unsightly breeze blocks for many months.
But at that time we considered that to be something we could live with, as we had the 'artist's impression' of what Acorn Property Group were going to deliver.
You can probably guess where this post is heading I'm sure.
Acorn Property Group did nothing for many months, and of course used the pandemic as an excuse.
I am sure the pandemic was a huge challenge, it was for everyone, but I am also sure that they took advantage of this excuse as things opened up after lockdown.
My experience with Acorn Property Group is that they will sell you something that they have no intention of delivering. I may be wrong, but that has been my experience.
The after sales and the response to the inevitable snagging has been poor to say the least. They have an after sales manager who is woeful, and we still have outstanding issues that seem to have been ignored, now about 17 months after buying the property.
Every resident that I have spoken to has had issues with their gas and electricity meters. We discovered that our meter is registered to another property and it it took until only recently for this to finally be corrected, with no help from Acorn Blud. They were simply not interesting, even though it was of their making.
Not to mention the very poor state of the grounds around the development. Some of the intended work has been skipped entirely, which is very convenient for Acorn Property Group, and of course saves them money.
To conclude, I would say that I would certainly not purchase another property from Acorn Property Group. Building companies are always going to look for a cheap option while selling the customer a premium canvas. Acorn Property Group is no exception.

We have a home from Acorn Property Group, and they skip important things, like putting TV connections in the main bedroom! How easy would it be for them to do that during the building phase? And how hard is it going to be for us now!

Acorn Property Group have left us with a persistent fault with the ventilation system in our new house. Two failures in 18 months from new. The only property on the development that has had a failure, let alone two. I have heard nothing back from Acorn. It seems they are going to 'wash their hands' of the issue. Don't trust them!

We sent an email to Acorn Blue a couple of weeks back about an issue. They have, not surprisingly, decided to ignore our email. Not a great experience, and it's been more than a year of this poor service from Acorn Blue (Acorn Property Group)!

I hear nothing from Acorn Blue, we have things that need fixing, but no action at all!

Me too! Why can they do this?

Don't mention the plug sockets! How hard can it be to put electricity sockets in sensible places? Very hard for Acorn Blue.
